Applied Materials Director, Technical Project/Program Management - Logistics Inventory & Program Management in Austin, Texas

Location: Santa Clara, Austin, or Singapore (no relocation provided)

This is an onsite role (not remote).

Leads multidisciplinary projects or initiatives.

Job Profile Summary: Recognized as a program/project expert within the company. Anticipates inventory business challenges and/or compliance issues; drives process improvements relating to inventory and strategic logistics. Solves complex inventory and logistics problems that have a broad impact on WMO. Contributes to the development of logistics strategy and serves as Chief Staff Officer. Leads group of project managers and inventory analysts to achieve milestones and objectives. Possesses industrial engineering or similar degree, preferably at the graduate-level; 12+ relevant years’ experience preferred.

Leads Inventory Management and Logistics Program Management teams; directly responsible to Vice President, Logistics as Chief Staff Officer.

Oversees staff meeting agenda, quarterly all-hands meetings, annual strategy planning process, and semi-annual talent and org development review.

Responsible for setting project management standards, templates, and best-known methods utilizing project management tools such as Tableau reports, Smartsheet tracking charts, checklists and other project management tools; oversees complex global logistics programs.

Drives annual RIT budget and time-phasing for Global Logistics; works across functions to ensure allocated resources from other organizations (e.g., GIS) and to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives; consolidates and tracks annual capital allocation requests.

Manages cost, schedule, performance of major logistics programs; independently identifies and resolves potential complications within programs.

Leads multifunctional inventory management team in reporting days inventory outstanding (DIO) for SPG product groups; assesses inventory improvement opportunities in collaboration with Business Unit (BU) Chief Operations Officers (COO); provides technical leadership to inventory management team members to achieve goals; collaborates daily with Finance partners. Coordinates quarterly SPG raw material inventory scrap process; assesses aged-WIP, RMA, used core, and canceled FGI per business process. Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.

U.S. Salary Range:

$156,000.00 - $214,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
