Applied Materials IP Compliance Analyst - (B4) in Austin, Texas

Applied Materials has an exciting opportunity to join a Global Litigation & Compliance Team.  The team is looking for an experienced and practical Compliance Analyst focusing on Intellectual Property. This role requires expertise and experience managing complex global issues with cross-functional stakeholders. In this role, you will be supporting a legal team in achieving program roadmaps related to IP protection. You will work closely with the business units, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and information security to implement and sustain programs. This position requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and keen judgment for prioritization and execution in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, scope, and document requirements through detailed project plans to lead/support key compliance initiatives on intellectual property (IP)

  • Clearly identify critical milestones, map timelines, spot risks, assign ownership to drive timely progress of key projects

  • Provide oversight, coordinate across stakeholders, communicate progress and manage escalations on projects

  • Manage quarterly and executive updates, dashboards, and reports on compliance projects

  • Support compliance risk assessments with an emphasis on IP compliance, including executing and tracking remedial actions

  • Oversee documentation, organization and recordkeeping program, including drafting, maintaining and organizing various policies, procedures, process maps, and work instructions on IP compliance functions

  • Centralize and maintain systematized repositories to help improve visibility, increase accountability, and enable enhanced decision-making and governance

  • Study and use data to identify process gaps and recommend improvements that will increase efficiency and reduce compliance risk

  • Design tailored training on compliance and intellectual property

  • Help to develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and create and maintain data-driven dashboards that demonstrate key results

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in compliance areas, preferably in the technology sector.

  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping experience

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global team.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, and excellent project management skills.

  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary project teams or global initiatives including collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, flexible, impeccable integrity, and good judgment.

  • Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships with other Applied functions such as internal audit, legal teams, and business-facing groups.

  • Experience in conducting compliance risk assessments, monitoring, and testing, with an emphasis on legal compliance risk areas.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment and ability to manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload.

  • Past experience with supply chain, data protection policies and enforcement, and/or meeting customer requirements is a plus.

  • Past experience with OneTrust platform is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, driven, and ability to work independently and in teams.

  • Strong presentation, PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization skills.

U.S. Salary Range:

$108,000.00 - $148,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
