Located within Patent & IP Portfolio Group of Legal and Compliance Organization (LCO), this role will have the responsibility of supporting the all aspects of patent administration and supports, globally.

Applied is seeking an independent and detail oriented individual to provide IP paralegal support, particularly on patent and/or trademark matters, and to assist IP counsel with other projects on behalf of the LCO.

Key Responsibilities

Prepares and reviews legal documents, such as patent-related documents, trademarks-related documents, contracts, other corporate documents, etc.

Prepares and maintains general legal and patent files

Performs and coordinates legal research, including patent, trademark, corporate, and other general legal search

Works with and maintains legal databases including patent, trademarks, contracts, other corporate and legal databases

Analyzes data related to legal matters and prepares reports, including patent, trademarks, corporate matters, etc.

Prepares and files documents in response to legal matters or legal proceedings, such as patent application filings, corporate applications, etc.

Assists attorneys in legal matters, such as those related to patents, trademarks, corporate activities

With minimal oversight advises business stakeholders on matters such as

Prepares and reviews legal documents, such as patent-related documents, trademarks-related documents, contracts, other corporate documents, etc.

Prepares and maintains general legal and patent files

Performs and coordinates legal research, including patent, trademark, corporate, and other general legal search

Supports invention disclosure throughout its lifecycle (e.g., from invention in-take, to file, to grants, etc.) and ensure adherence to target cycle times

Works with and maintains legal databases including patent, trademarks, contracts, other corporate and legal databases

Analyzes data related to legal matters and prepares reports, including patent, trademarks, corporate matters, etc.

Prepares and files documents in response to legal matters or legal proceedings, such as patent application filings, corporate applications, etc.

Assists IP Counsel in legal matters, such as those related to patents, trademarks, corporate activities

Uphold the integrity of the data systems (e.g., a patent docketing system such as IP Manager)

Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong ability in managing wide range interactions with internal clients across various business units and cross-functional teams, globally to perform the various tasks and projects under IP and LCO. Experience in docketing skill is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree or above.

5+ years experience in a position focused on or related to invoice review/management, paralegal, or other legal analyst at or on behalf of multi-national corporation(s).

Experience as a patent prosecution paralegal and patent docketing.
