Applied Materials Process Engineer V - (E5) in Chandler, Arizona

Key Responsibilities

Development, integration, and patterning for electron beam lithography-based processing Design of experiments, collect and analyze data, and compile reports on a variety of engineering processes within safety guidelines Oversee day to day usage of electron beam lithography tool Troubleshoot a variety of complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve a variety of difficult direct write/electron beam lithography processes and perform hardware characterization and tool diagnostics on electron beam lithography system Interact with internal customers to resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issues/problems with limited supervision Develop and mature processes that meet customer specs

Functional Knowledge

Familiarity with operation and user interface of JEOL e-beam system (BEAMER, pattern design, conversion, proximity correction) Hands on experience with pre and post-patterning cleanroom procedures (sample preparation and analysis) Resist exposure interaction and optimization. High resolution patterns. Device integration, alignment procedures, mix and match lithography, optical lithography. CAD design platforms: LEDIT, KLayout. Experiences in the following areas are a big plus but not critical: python.

Qualifications

Education: MS or PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, other relevant engineering discipline

Skills: Electron Beam Lithography, (ideally)familiarity with JEOL electron beam lithography systems

Years of Experience: 10-15 years with PhD, 15+ years with MS

U.S. Salary Range:

$144,000.00 - $198,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
