Applied Materials Investigator, Digital Forensics Team - (B3) in Hsinchu, Taiwan
Position Description
Applied Materials has an exciting opportunity to join a world class Global Investigations and Digital Forensics Team. The investigator will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works collaboratively within Legal and jointly with the Information Security, Business Unit, and Corporate Services teams to conduct a wide range of investigations.
Responsibilities for this position include investigations, digital forensics, eDiscovery, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and other activities to support strategic initiatives for IP protection and data security. This position will be located in Taiwan and augments the existing staffing of the Digital Forensics Team in the APAC Region.
This position requires strong analytic capabilities, technical skills, communication skills, and creativity, as well as the ability to follow industry standard methods of properly identifying, collecting, and analyzing digital evidence and conduct forensic examinations. Candidates must be fluent in written and oral Chinese.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Significantly contribute to a global team that conducts digital forensic investigations and electronic discovery for legal and corporate matters using industry leading technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technology related field from an accredited university
A minimum of 3 years experience in computer forensics or similar field, such as Windows system administration, network administration, or IT audit.
A proven track record in
Digital forensics, electronic evidence collection and analysis, or
System administration, user administration (Active Directory), system review, and log file analysis
Experience conducting digital forensics examinations on Microsoft Windows operating systems and Apple iOS devices using industry standard tools – e.g., Nuix, Cellebrite, Magnet Forensics, EnCase, data loss prevention (DLP) software, and open source tools
Excellent communication skills including:
Ability to clearly articulate and visually present complex issues, and
Create concise reports that explain investigation findings in layman’s terms
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
Ability to gain the trust of legal and business stakeholders to achieve a desired objective
Must possess a strong attention to detail, concern for information accuracy, and high personal integrity
Must be fluent in Chinese and English, additional languages are a plus
Desired Qualifications
Japanese or Korean language skills are a plus.
Familiarity with international data privacy & encryption laws and regulations
Familiarity with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), including a working knowledge of Open-Source tools & techniques. Knowledge of Maltego is a plus.
Project management experience
Familiarity with cyber security protocols
Industry standard digital forensics certifications (EnCE, CCE, GCFE, GCFA, CFCE, CFE, CEH, GCIH, MSCE, CISSP etc.) preferred
