Applied Materials Optical Wafer Inspection(OPWI) Product Management in Hwaseong-Lucestar, South Korea

Job description:

  1. Provides continuous analysis of the technical/application landscape, customers HVP’s, and Fab environment all as part of the product management work to set the right product roadmap

  2. Applications mapping & analysis: Onsite product management capabilities to map the tool applications performance (limitations, strengths etc.), feed the PBU technology discussion and product roadmap.

  3. On site expert of Metrology and Inspection applications (per domain): PDC(Process Diagnostics and Control) platform application expert is preferable.

  • Expert of specific applications of the product space (imaging/overlay/metrology/defectivity) and customer process technologies.

  • Analyze tool/solution performance in Fab environment and properly feedback to PBU and local accounts.

  • Map NPI performance limitation tackling customer new Applications / Layers / HVPs.

  • Anticipate Tool performance facing new Technologies.

  • Able to perform value analysis and feedback PDC RD for future and released features – compass for development.

  • Lead multidisciplinary technical activities on site together with R&D extension and the account/PDC teams.

  1. Together with account PSE(Process Support Engineers) to analyze and understand customer environment: (defectivity as an example)
  • Map all types of defects; N, N+1, N+2 technologies.

  • Build a comprehensive data base layer by layer and defect by defect.

  • M&I requirements from R&D to HVM (technical and environmental).

  1. Integrated part of PDC Product management process:
  • Active attendance in PRD (Product Requirement Doc.) reviews.

  • C&F and DoE regarding different solutions and alternatives.

  • Own some PRD’s.

Interfaces:

  1. Reporting to the local TCT Org.

  2. Technically guided and matrix managed by PDC PBU Product management team:

  • Critical external and internal communications must be aligned/approved by PDC Product Management and Field Product Marketing.

  • Participates in group activities/meetings – part of the Product Management staff.

  1. When working on development – work as PDC product manager

  2. Daily interface with the R&D Extension and account PSE on collaboration and adoption projects:

  • Working closely with the account PSE team on executing application/solution implementation/ validation projects.

  • Partner with the Korea R&D Extension team to design, build and execute the solutions DOE’s.

  • All customer interfaces/communication/projects in alignment & approval of the account PSE, Sales, and Field Product Marketing.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of customer environment and technology as a baseline and background to product development

  • 3 year of proven firsthand experience as an AE of M&I application in a corporate or customer product.

  • High analytical skills. Ability to research, analyze and understand complex system problems.

  • Independent, can work in an open environment and efficiently manage his own work. Initiative-taking and determination.

  • Interpersonal capabilities – the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and lead without authority as showing excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Strive for excellence. Setting and pursuing high bar goals.

  • Fluent communication in English on both verbal and text. Travel – capable for initial 1-2 months travel and later willingness for frequent visits in PDC (2-3 times/year)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering areas.

  • Years of Experience: above 4+ Years in related fields
