Qualification for " Cloud and On-Prem Storage Specialist"

• 12-14 Years of Enterprise Storage Experience

• 5+ Years of Microsoft Azure Cloud

• Cloud : Cloud Volume ONTAP(CVO), Azure Netapp Files(ANF), AWS storage – Blob storages , Replication technologies such as Snapmirror, Storage replications , Native replications

• Dell EMC products : XtremIO, Powerstore, PowerMax

• NetApp products : NetApp all flash and hybrid arrays (FAS-series / A-series, Storage grids)

• SAN switches: MDS switches

Mandatory Skills

• As a Cloud Storage specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our cloud storage infrastructure, ensuring data protection, and implementing industry best practices for Azure CSP

• Accountable for all cloud related admins tasks, i.e. design, build, incidents, service request, problem records and changes.

• Implement and enforce data storage and access policies to ensure compliance with security standards.

• Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI)

• Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of implemented products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.

• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert(SME) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in storage administration/Architect role

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based solutions

• Strong administration and configuration experience on EMC / NetApp products.

• Ability to lead / manage projects independently.

• Ability to independently execute the storage migration / Storage tech refresh projects which involves the data migration both on EMC, NetApp, and Cloud platform.

• Strong experience in Host level migration using vmotion, PPME, OS migration , snapmirror etc

• Experience in architecting and designing the storage solutions using NetApp, EMC products, MDS san switches and replication technologies such as snapmirror, DR, EMC storage native replications.

• Ability to configure/upgrade EMC / NetApp code upgrade.

• Maintain the lifecycle of a product hosted in the Cloud and On-prem.

• Configure, reallocate, manage, or remove storage volumes at the operating system level to meet service requests.

• Experience with Configuration, implementation, administration and supporting Storage Infrastructure based on CDOT technologies

• Experience with Configuration, administration and management of Cisco MDS Switches based SAN Fabric

• Experience with storage management tools like CloudInsight, OCUM/ OCI/ WFA and EMC performance tools

• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Working Knowledge on Linux and Windows Operating Systems

• Configure and manage fabric zoning using Cisco MDS

• Storage systems check: Monitor and alert failures within external arrays and SAN fabric components in order to identify and rectify potential hardware failures.

• Providing support for Enterprise Storage Infrastructure, respond to and resolve escalated issues. Escalate to and manage external service providers or vendors until problem resolution.

• Vendor management and co-ordination.

• Monitor, review and optimize the performance and connectivity of the SAN environment. (NetApp /EMC)

• Develop reporting mechanisms on weekly, monthly basis to ensure conformance to business SLAs.

• Troubleshoot Performances issues.

• Drive the root cause analysis

Good to have Skills

• Cloud-based infrastructure, automation, and deployment, as well as a strong understanding of networking, security, and data management

• Knowledge of Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Zerto, Commvault

• Installation of Redhat / Windows Servers

• Attended Project management training or project management experience.

• Understanding and working experience on the backup solutions.
